i never thought i'd say that. and i admit to being a novice when it comes to current events and government. but i know about calling it a duck if it walks and quacks like one. and that's what i feel we're getting from our reps.
i am so sick of hearing status quo and how we don't have the votes. i'm sick of baby steps. i had no intention of picking on louise slaughter, so i'm taking my comment from her blogpost and putting it here for all our newly-(re)elected reps to see.
there's no free pass in washington, for the left or the right. we intend to hold your feet to the fire. get it right or get out of the way.

well, i went over to democrats.org today after getting my latest visa bill. i've been contributing via a democracy bond for a few months now, but what with the election going not too bad, and with one kid in college and another college bound, i figured maybe i'd cancel my bond for a few months, 'til after the holidays at least and maybe before things got hot in dc again.
Sleeping with the Enemy

In the 1991 suspense movie "Sleeping with the Enemy," starring Julia Roberts, her character's abusive husband questions her suggestion that he derives pleasure from hurting her and is cognizant of what he is doing.
I don't like to beat a dead horse, and I'm not a particular fan of John Kerry, but I feel compelled to defend him after the botched joke episode in this week's press.
More below the fold.
