A "New Rule" was set in a TX newspaper.

Hello, Kossoids and Kossites,
I didn't expect this letter to the editor to get published, but here it is, in my local paper, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal. It's a little thin as far as city newspapers go, but then again, I'm a big-city Yankee. What do I know?
Letter below the fold:
"'Non-partisan'" Texas Tech conservative club compiling list of "biased professors."

Greetings from the land of chair-throwing basketball coaches!
What? Bobby Knight retired? Oh...that's right. Never mind.
My wife and I have close associations with Texas Tech University. Yes, we are two big-city, Blue-state Yankees living in Lubbock, a city so conservative, the only one that was more so in a survey was Provo, Utah.
(Huntington Beach, California, was on that list, too? Crap. Hmm...no Fountain Valley. Good.)
Could you imagine what it would be like without a state university?
Well, as is par for the course around here, whenever Republicans/conservatives don't like how something is going on around here, they take action. Most of the time, especially over the last eight years, those actions tend toward the dangerous. And when I say "dangerous," I mean "McCarthyist and anti-American."
